She was Nothing

She sat, one day
Staring out the window
Folding the children's clothes
Thinking, where did my life go?
She takes the clothes
Throws them on the floor
She lies down on the bed
Thinking, I could have done so much more.

But she didn't.
Look at her now.
She didn't go anywhere.
What happened to her?

She sat, one day
Sitting on a bedroom chair
Staring into an old mirror
Thinking, when did I get gray hair?
She takes the trophy
From when she was a child
Brings it down upon the mirror
Thinking, I've gone wild.

Well she did.
Look at her now.
She didn't go anywhere.
What happened to her?
What has she done?

She ran out into the rain
Crying to a god that wasn't there
That wasn't going to help her
That didn't really care.
And she would waste away
She was nothing
Think of what she could have been
She could have been anything.

But she wasn't.
Look at her now.
She didn't go anywhere.
What happened to her?
What have I done?
What have I become?

And i will waste away
I'm already dead
There's nothing more for me.
This is the end.
